Mann Chung Hak Sy Tha was born in Phnom Penh, Cambodia and spent his adolescence in Duluth, Georgia. An Inprint C. Glenn Cambor Fellow, he is a Creative Writing MFA candidate at the University of Houston and writes fiction centering Cambodian experiences in the homeland and the diaspora. He is a submissions reviewer for the Oxbelly Fiction Writers Program. His work has been supported by Seventh Wave and the McCormack Writing Center (formerly TinHouse). His interactive fiction piece, Paradise Lived, placed 2nd at the 2025 UGA Libraries Undergraduate Research Award.
